Sample Three-Day Washington DC Trip Itinerary
Day 1
Your school trip to Washington departs early in the morning
Tour George Washington’s Mt. Vernon
Check in to your hotel
Spend the evening on an Illuminated Monument Tour with a local step-on guide featuring visits to the Lincoln Memorial, the King Memorial (“The Stone of Hope”), Jefferson Memorial, the FDR Memorial, and an illuminated White House.
Day 2
Breakfast at the Hotel is included
After breakfast your students travel to Arlington Cemetery and a moving wreath-laying ceremony
Followed by a walking tour of the White House Area
and the Capitol Building
The afternoon will be spent at the Smithsonian Museums
Lunch is on your own today at the Smithsonian Cafeterias
After the Museums close have dinner via voucher at the Ronald Reagan Building, or Union Station
This evening your school attends a Royal Feast with entertainment at Medieval Times.
Day 3
Breakfast at the Hotel
Today you have a choice of visiting the Washington attractions you may have missed on the first two days including the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, the Holocaust Memorial, the International Spy Museum, the Voice of America
OR
you can stop on your way home in Baltimore with such attractions as Ft. McHenry, the Inner Harbor, and the National Aquarium.
