DeBolt Unlimited Travel, Famous since 1895


History and Mission - DeBolt has been providing transportation since the present owner’s namesake needed a means to deliver the hay, feed, and grain from his warehouse to his customers in 1895. From those horse and wagon days, DeBolt Unlimited Travel has progressed through gasoline-powered wagons, trucks, moving vans, tractor-trailers, transit busses, and deluxe parlor coaches to supersonic aircraft. Our philosophy at DeBolt Unlimited Travel has been to provide our customers with the best transportation service possible in a way of which we can be most proud. In spite of wars, economic disasters, and times of unprecedented social upheaval, that tradition of transportation excellence continues today.

We have always felt that businesses had an obligation not just to their customers, but to their communities as well. In this regard, we pride ourselves on some of our achievements:

2012 The United States Department of State selects DeBolt as the Official Transportation Provider in support of the historic 2012 G8 Summit at Camp David

2011 “Batman – The Dark Knight Rises” with Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, and Marion Cottillard added to the list of films partnering with DeBolt.

2010 DeBolt serves as motorcoach consultant to “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” Restoring Sanity Rally in Washington, DC.

2010 DeBolt provides transportation for the cast of “Abduction” starring Taylor Lautner

2009 “Unstoppable” starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine filmed in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Producers use DeBolt to coordinate transportation for cast and crew to locations of rail lines spread out over hundreds of miles.

2009 The White House Press Office chooses DeBolt to provide transportation for the G-20 Summit.

2008 DeBolt chosen as Official Transportation Coordinator for Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival

2004 Gothic band “Good Charlotte” performs “live” on DeBolt Unlimited motorcoach #882.

2003 DeBolt Unlimited motorcoach appears on nationwide TV special with Aerosmith and Britney Spears.

2002 DeBolt provides transportation for two United States “presidents within two weeks: President George W. Bush during his visit with the Quecreek miners and “President” Jed Bartlet during the filming of “The West Wings” season premiere episode. The opening scene presents DeBolt Unlimited motorcoaches to over 10 million viewers nationwide.

2002 Amidst increased security after 9/11, United States Secret Service employs DeBolt motorcoaches to form a protective barrier for President George W. Bush

2000 In one of the closest presidential elections in history, DeBolt provides transportation services for the campaigns of both Al Gore and George Bush.

1999 Dallas Stars NHL Hockey Team chooses DEBOLT UNLIMITED for transportation during the „98-99 season. Four months later they win their first Stanley Cup.

1998 DEBOLT UNLIMITED “500” motorcoach appears in the NBC mini-series “The Temptations”. Program scores highest ratings of the season.

1992 American Chemical Society chooses DeBolt as official carrier of the 24th International Chemistry Olympiad.

1992 DeBolt named exclusive partner for the “Phantom Educational Programme” in Toronto, Ontario from points in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

1991 DeBolt utilized for the filming of Oscar-winning “Silence of the Lambs”.

1991 171st Air Refueling Wing Air National Guard presents DeBolt Transportation with a citation for Family Support during Operation Desert Storm

1988 DeBolt chosen to provide guide service to His Royal Highness, Charles, Prince of Wales during his historic visit to Pittsburgh.

1987 DeBolt president chosen to chair American Bus Association National Marketplace.

1982 The Interstate Commerce Commission issues its historic first nationwide charter and tour authority. The recipient is DeBolt.

1981 DeBolt installs the first motorcoach-mounted electronic sign in the United States.

1976 DeBolt transports the University of Pittsburgh football team during a National Championship and Heisman Trophy season.

1940 Pennsylvania Turnpike opens. Somerset Bus Company is one of the first two bus companies licensed to operate on the Turnpike. Somerset is later acquired by DeBolt.

1914 First truck – a Republic - acquired by DeBolt. 1895 George S. T. DeBolt begins first transportation service with a horse and wagon
